Summer programmes

Volunteers organise and run the daily programme: registration and reception, the sports hall and the beach activities in Qidfa, workshops, traditional games and heritage segments, competitions, photography and the closing ceremonies. Each summer day is a shift on the platform, so every hour is verified.

When schools close, the association keeps the children and young people of the Eastern Region busy: summer festivals with games, workshops and competitions at Lulu Mall and on Khorfakkan Corniche, a summer training programme, and since 2025 whole-summer camps in the villages. The Emirates Villages Summer camp in Qidfa (July to August 2025), run with the Emirates Council for Balanced Development, was the largest programme in the association's history: 167 volunteers and 3,436 verified hours over five weeks. In 2026 the summer grew into the Sawaed Summer Forum at Lulu and "Our Summer is Sustainability", a tour of eight village majlises with the Fujairah Environment Authority.
