Join the Swaed UAE Association For Culture and Community Empowerment. Choose your membership, fill in your details and pay online. With UAE PASS or a verified Emirates ID your membership is active at once; otherwise it is active after a short approval. Volunteering is free and does not need membership.

Basic membership

200 AED / year

Who can apply	UAE citizens aged 18+ with good conduct and no disqualifying conviction. Residents too, under the law's conditions: valid UAE residence of 3+ years, not a diplomat.
Voting	Yes — votes in the General Assembly; can stand for and elect the Board.
Rights	Attend the General Assembly, see the Association's documents and reports, use all activities and facilities.
Duties	Pay the annual subscription, follow the statute and the Association's decisions, support its objectives. Membership ends if the subscription stays unpaid for more than 3 months after a written warning.
Approval	Fill in your details and pay online. With UAE PASS or a verified Emirates ID your membership is active at once; otherwise it is active after a short approval.

01Your SwaedUAE card shows your membership type and expiry date — in the app, on the website and printable.
02Members-only events: Board open day, annual honouring ceremony, National Day gathering, Ramadan iftar; early registration to high-demand volunteer events.
03Priority for leadership roles: team leader or coordinator at events, representing the Association at government and partner events, delegations abroad.
04Certificates and letters: membership certificate, priority processing of hours letters, annual "Member of the Year" recognition.
05Training first: free seats on the Association's workshops and courses before public registration; a members' WhatsApp group.
06Voice: Basic members vote and can sit on the Board; members receive the annual report and financial statements.

Beneficiary membership

100 AED / year

Who can apply	Anyone aged 18+ who benefits from the Association's services and programmes — citizens or residents. Typical: trainees, families in our programmes, students, families of people of determination.
Voting	No — may attend the General Assembly as a guest.
Rights	Take part in activities, use facilities, enjoy member privileges.
Duties	Pay the annual subscription; follow the statute.
Approval	Same as above: details and payment online; active at once when your identity is verified, otherwise after a short approval.

Membership conditions

From the Association's statute.

01Members are 18 years or older.
02Basic members vote in the General Assembly and can stand for the Board. Beneficiary members take part in programmes and may attend the General Assembly without a vote.
03The subscription is paid every year: 200 AED for Basic membership, 100 AED for Beneficiary membership.
04Membership ends if the subscription stays unpaid for more than 3 months after a written warning.
05Members follow the statute and the Association's decisions, and tell us about changes to their details.

Honorary membership is granted by the General Assembly on the Board's recommendation (no fee) and is not offered online.

The Association's statute (Articles 8–12 and 51), approved by the Ministry of Community Empowerment.

Donations and general fundraising are handled separately from membership fees. Online donation collection is not enabled here unless explicitly approved by policy.
